Syndicated columnist John Brummett weighs in on farm policy in this May 13 piece taken from the Arkansas News Bureau. No doubt, Mr. Brummett can turn a phrase. If he was equally adept at understanding the issues facing farmers today (as well as those of the "average Joe" who doesn't live in an ivory tower), maybe he could make a meaningful contribution to the farm policy discourse instead of taking agenda driven potshots at folks who know what it means to sweat - literally and figuratively - for a living.
